Over the years I have been a sound engineer, I have come across many famous names and worked at many many venues. Some, I have put PA systems in, others, I have mixed. Sometimes, I was stage manager, others I was a backline technician.

This is not a definitive list, but shows a fair mix of genres and musical styles.

Wishbone Ash, Saxon, Paul Carrack, The Poozies, Caravan, Camel, Showaddywaddy, Shed Seven, Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen, The Opera Babes, The Damned, BBC Big Band, Eliza Carthy, Nick Heyward, Toyah Wilcox, Doctor Feelgood, Wilko Johnson, The Hamsters, Glen Matlock, Los Pacaminos, The Levellers, John Otway, and the list goes on and on!

About

GIG RIG PA HIRE SERVICES

GIG RIG PA HIRE SERVICES was set up by myself, Howie Marsh, in the mid 1990s. I have been involved in live sound on a professional basis for over 20 years.

Hard at work

An injury stopped me from playing guitar, and also cost me my day job at the time. Rather than sign on, I began hiring out the PA equipment that was “cluttering up” my parents garage. I sold my motorcycle and car and bought a van. Luckily, my injury was not permanent, and I can now play guitar again.
I trained with Soundcraft  at the University of Manchester in 1995. Since then, I have worked with numerous “names”, some famous, some not. I spent 4 years touring British theatres with a popular tribute show, and I now supply local venues, promoters, councils and entertainers with not only my equipment, but my expertise.
Whether you need just a sound engineer, or a full blown festival system, I can deliver a suitable rig and crew for your event, big or small.

I like to build a relationship with my clients, which means that they keep returning. This year (2015) sees me returning to the Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival for the 10th year, and also The Gorleston Clifftop Festival which I am now committee member/stage manager/technical manager.
